About the project
zaPLeCZe (backstage) is a Polish-Czech theatre project.
Activities will include:
- Interdisciplinary workshops on theatrical education (learning about the “back-up” of theatre activities),
- Creation of two theatre plays,
- Travelling festival around the Pomorskie voivodship.
The goals of the project include:
- development of creativity and imagination;
- activation and inspiration of local communities through theatre activities;
- integration of young people from different backgrounds;
- providing conditions to learn new practical abilities;
- sharing experiences and making new friends;
- creating conditions for self-development.
The project "zaPLeCZe” is part of the celebration of the 30th anniversary of the “Solidarity” movement and the Gdańsk August Accords.
The keynote of two theatre plays we are going to create is "solidarity" as a value and the history of the civil movement that began in Poland in 1980.
The project has been divided in two stages:
STAGE I:
Theatre workshops for young people from the Czech Republic and Poland.
The classes are addressed to people interested and experienced in the field of theatre.
Planned class topics:
· Integration, teamwork,
· Introductory history classes, outdoor game around Gdańsk,
· Drama,
· Improvisations,
· Singing and dancing,
· Acting,
· Composing music,
· Light direction,
· Stage design, costume design.
The workshops will be given by professionals working in dance, acting, improvisation, drama and stage design.
STAGE II:
The travelling festival around the Pomorskie voivodship will present the created plays in small towns and villages in the area. The already prepared performances will be accompanied by other artistic activities organised for the audience.
